Influenza can be defined as a flu mostly happened in winter season caused by RNA viruses that cause infection in respiratory tract of humans, animas, birds etc. Influenza can be happened to animals and birds also. It can be transferred from human being to birds, birds to humans, animals to humans. It’s like a virus which can be transferred easily in between the human being and animals.

Influenza may result into headache, cough, fever. People may get infected with vomiting, diarrhea etc. The most happening complication of influenza is pneumonia. It can affect all aged people. Mostly it occurs in school children.

Symptoms of Influenza

Body aches and pain in back, arms or legs.

Feeling of sickness, lost of appetite.

Sore throat, runny nose, dry cough, stuffy nose.

Headache, pain in eyes when you move them.

Chest discomfort. Pain in chest.

Extreme exhaustion

Body temperature, vomiting, diarrhea.

Types of Influenza

Type A influenza is one of the most dangerous health problems. This type of influenza found in humans, pigs, whales, birds. This type of influenza can be passed from human to birds, birds to humans. So from this influenza, no one is immune. Avian flu and Swine flu are the most common examples of swine flu.

Type B influenza is less dangerous than Type A influenza. It happened in human being only. It changes a bit only from time to time.

Type c influenza mostly happened to chickens, duck, geese etc. Bird flu is an example of Type C influenza.

Treatment of Influenza

Acetaminophen (Tylenol), or Ibuprofen can relieve head and muscle aches. Aspirin should be avoided for children.

Drinking more and more water is the best way to treat influenza. Also you can drink fruit juices and other drinks in place of water.

Rest is the necessary thing to treat influenza. Taking proper bed rest through whole day and night is the best one.

If it is not treated or controlled in about 2-3 days then you can go to a doctor for further treatment.
