Breast milk protects baby from various health problems like diarrhea, diabetes etc. I am going to discus some tips for breast feeding which may be helpful for new mothers.

Look for the signs from your baby weather he/she is wanting milk or not. The signs may be licking lips, rooting or crying.

Try to hold your baby very smartly so that nose to nipple contact should be there. Support the neck of your baby so that he/she feels comfortable for breastfeeding.

Make sure that baby’s mouth should cover your entire nipple with darker part around.

Offer your baby both of your breasts for every feeding. Your baby will tell you when he/she finished with feeding of one breast.

If you are out with your baby, you can still breastfeed. You may want to take along a receiving blanket or shawl with which to cover up.

Taking healthy diet is also beneficial for the health of baby. Try to take diet with full of all nutrients. Try to avoid alcohol and drugs during breast feeding period of your baby.

After an hour of your delivery you can start with breastfeeding. Try to be cool and calm while breastfeeding.

It is very important to breastfeed your baby at day time as well as at night time. Don’t try to awake your baby from sleep for breastfeeding. Baby will give sign when he/she wants milk.
